The Hostage Chapter 2
I’ve been watching Merrilee for a few days now. I think I can do this.. I have to do this, I have no choice.
I’ve established Merrilee’s routine. She goes to work at 3:00 and leaves by 8:30. She is a creature of habit and rarely makes any other stops, work and then home. This was a close call tonight, her boyfriend met her after work and we ran right in to each other. I can’t let anyone know what is going on, both of our lives depend on it.
I think I’ve come up with a plan. I have to first make contact with her and try to befriend her. This could be difficult because of her celebrity status. People everywhere want to talk to her and the paparazzi are always following her.
Finally, I get up the nerve and just walk up to her front door and introduce myself. It’s kind of a crazy move and I’m surprised I’m allowed to get this close to her due to her celebrity status, but she opens the door and walks right out. I catch her just as she is getting ready for work. It’s almost too easy!
“It’s nice to meet you Rob! I’m really sorry, but I’m in a hurry to get to work. Maybe we can talk another time!”
I just stand there and nod my head, I’m too nervous to even speak. She is so nice, too nice for her own good though, I’m afraid. She left the front door wide open.
I let myself in after she hops into her limo and I check the place out. I hack into her computer to see if I can find out more information.
I look around the house, small as it is, it doesn’t take long to find all the information I need.
I rummage through the trash to make sure I don’t miss anything. It’s no wonder she was in such a hurry when I introduced myself, I’m a mess. I’m surprised she didn’t take off running. I should have cleaned up, but circumstances as they are, I can’t take the time.
