The Hostage Chapter 18

The next few weeks passed in a daze. Trying to keep 3 babies fed, clean and dry is no easy task.  Rob and I were exhausted.

It’s all we can do to keep the babies from crying nonstop.  At least we have everything we need to take care of them.  I’m enjoying every minute with the babies though, they are so sweet and I never thought I’d love being a mother like this.

All of my time is spent in the babies room now.  I run back and forth between babies, rocking, feeding,  and changing them.

My favorite time is when I just sit and rock each baby. I try to make equal time for each. I love the rocking chair.

We finally had a chance to talk about the locked rooms and the 3 cribs. Rob says he got the emails the week before the babies were born. It said that the extra rooms had been unlocked, they had been built in case a situation like this came up.  I guess he had been expecting to keep us here for a long time, possibly forever. The other 2 rooms contain single beds. One decorated for boys and the other for girls. I guess he couldn’t predict the sex of the babies.

Time has flown by, the girls have grown into crawling and playing toddlers. Things are a little easier once the girls became toddlers.  Rob and I are trying are best to get them trained before they grow up. We want them to talk and walk and of course be potty trained as soon as possible. We spend every waking minute teaching them.

It also helps that the girls can entertain themselves by looking at books and playing with toys.

Rob is still working on getting us out of here. He thinks he has made some progress. He’s come up with an idea that might actually work, of course it will take time to put the plan together.

After months of working, Rob finally made major progress.. he built the machine that will hopefully get us out of here. It is still going to take some planning and time, plus we have to wait till the girls are bigger so we have a chance to make a run for it.

In the meantime, I’m enjoying playing with my girls and watching them learn. It is so fun! I mean, who can resist these faces. (Shameless pics of cute toddlers)

The girls are all potty trained and can walk and talk now. Life should be much easier till they age up to children.  Rob is working hard to find our way out.

Will the plan work or will we be stuck here forever?  I hope Rob can get us out. The girls should be having a birthday soon.  Hopefully our time here will be limited.
